Вообщем, надо на B-17 упирать
(Martin W. Bowman. USAAF Handbook 1939-1945).
During 1942-5 B-17s in the ETO flew 291,508 sorties in Europe, lossing 4,688 of their number in
combat. By comparision, B-24s flew 226,775 sorties for the loss of 3,626 of their number
; B-26s flew 129,943 sorties for the loss of 911 aircraft; B-25s, 63,177 sorties for the loss
of 380; A-20s, 39,492 for the loss of 265; and A-26s flew 11,567 sorties for the lost of just
67 aircraft. Fighter losses in te ETO were as follows: P-47s, 423,435 sorties, 3,077 combat losses;
P-51s 213,873 sorties 2,520 lost; P-38s 129,849 sorties, 1,758 lost; P-40s 67,059 sorties, 553 lost;
P-39s 30,547 sorties, 107 lost.
