A U.S. federal court on Tuesday charged FBI veteran Robert Philip Hanssen with selling American secrets to the Soviet Union's KGB security service in the 1980s. Hanssen was arrested on Sundayat his home outside Washington after he allegedly dropped off a package of classified information at a park in northern Virginia.
