"Reopening competition for an RTIP-type technology could provide the winning company with an inside track to the upcoming modernization of aging intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft. In the near future that would include Global Hawk, in both air-to-air and air-to-ground roles; NATO's AGS aircraft, a smaller, modernized version of the Joint-STARS; a Joint-STARS follow-on aircraft for the U.S. Air Force, and technology suitable for other high-altitude, long-endurance UAVs.The Air Force is formulating requirements for a multi-engine, multi-ton payload, reduced signature, long-endurance and high-altitude UAV"
