В Шанхае 29 апреля спущен на воду первый ЭМ пр. 170. Второй - в продвинутой стадии постройки. С ПВО кораблей неясно - то ли Рифы, то ли FT-2000 или HHQ-9. А ПКР - сверхзвуковые!

New Chinese destroyer launched. P. 17

The first Type 052C guided-missile destroyer for China's People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) has been launched from the Jiangnan shipyard in Shanghai. Hull No 170 entered the water on 29 April and was subsequently moved to an alongside berth to complete fitting out. A second Type 052C is reported to be at an advanced stage of build. The Type 052C is expected to mark a step change for the PLAN, introducing a phased-array radar and extended-range air-defence missile system into service for the first time. Four fixed phased-array faces, fitted around the main superstructure block, use electronic scanning to give full hemispherical coverage. Initial examination of No 170 post-launch suggests the presence of a vertical-launch missile system forward housing the primary anti-air missile system. Speculation continues as to the exact type of missile: some sources suggest the Russian-made 48N6E missile associated with the S-300M Fort-M system (SA-N-6), but the indigenously developed FT 2000 or HHQ-9 have also been advanced as candidates. Other notable features include the installation of two Type 730 close-in weapon systems and a single 100mm gun with a low radar cross-section turret mounted forward. There is also a new anti-ship missile launcher cradle positioned amidships: its configuration appears to indicate a new cylindrical missile canister rather than the box launchers used previously. This could mean that No 170 will be fitted with the new YJ12 supersonic missile or the further developed YJ8-3.
