13. IAP over Hanko. Brinko v Kozlov

24 XII 03
13 IAP over Hanko
There were several dules among Soviets fighters (I-16s) and Finnish I-153s (LeLv 6). Also happend some confusion (shoting own planes with some succces).

For example in July 1941 (16 or 17 VII?) Antonienko and Brinko of 13. IAP get an order to shot down enemy I-153s which was used by LeLe 6 for reccon mission over Soviet held territory.
During one such mission Brinko hit one and send it down (it was “bad luck”. In fact he got own plane piloted by Ivan Kozlov of 13. IAP. His victims was KIA.

Some guestion:
1) When exactly did it happen (am I right on 17 July 1941)?
2) I wonder why Brinko was not court martialed for such “case”. In this “hot” period such things were very fast put before court martial, and often was heavy punished – “pod stienku” /”under the wall”?
There was in Soviet very fast procedure and even HSU was not any shiled to be sentence on death, as some Soviet HSU was killed during the war.
