НАТО готовится дать в 2010 году ответ на "Запад-2009"

Статейка из JDW об опасных замыслах агрессивной военщины гнусного блока. НАТО запланировало проведение в Балтийском регионе в 2010 г. ряда крупных учений.
В том числе планируется в ходе BALTOPS в июне произвести высадку десанта в 500 чел американской морской пехоты на северном побережье Эстонии; также в июне провести совместные учения 'Baltic Host' трех лимитрофов с командованованием США в Европе; в Латвии в октябре провести учения 'Sabre Strike' с прибытием американского сухопутного контингента; а в финских водах в сентябре пройдут учения 'Northern Coasts' с участием 50 кораблей и катеров из 10 стран НАТО, США, Финляндии и Швеции.

NATO plans series of Baltic exercises for 2010

The Baltic region is set to be the focus of an unprecedented number of joint NATO exercises during 2010, Jane's has learned.

In the NATO 'BALTOPS' exercise scheduled for June the US Marine Corps will stage its first 500-strong amphibious landing on the northern Estonian coast, less than 200 km from the Russian border, followed by joint training at the Kuusalu national training area.

Also in June, Exercise 'Baltic Host' will see the Baltic States and US European Command (EUCOM) rehearse Host Nation Support (HNS) operations, which involve private and state-run organisations and facilities as well as the armed forces.

During October Latvia will hold Exercise 'Sabre Strike', a major field exercise that will train 2,000 US and Baltic troops in interoperability for multinational operations, including the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan in which the Baltic States are already closely involved.

Finland is to host 'Northern Coasts' (NOCO), the largest ever exercise in its territorial waters, in September. Fifty vessels and 2,500 personnel from 10 NATO nations as well as the United States and Sweden will practise multinational crisis management operations.

The exercise goes further towards involving Sweden and Finland in NATO infrastructures and operational activities, such as air policing, and in establishing a separate Nordic defence identity, following the recommendations of the 2009 Norwegian Stoltenberg Report.

The announcements, which come from a range of sources in the Estonian and Finnish ministries of defence and elsewhere, follow the massive 'Zapad 2009' exercise last year between Russia and Belarus, which involved some 12,500 troops, and a range of NATO exercises in the region and in Georgia.

Many of the exercises are planned to be held on an annual basis.

Не мешало б в ответ,в етоже время,провести учения Запад-2010,если деньги найдутся)

Будут в июне масштабные учения Восток 2010 с участием всех флотов (с Балтики Мудрый, с ЧФ наряд на 4 боевых корабля - капитально подготовили Москву + хотят Пытливого, с СФ поговаривают о Петре и Устинове). ВВС тоже готовится. Будут капитально пугать Япошек=).

Запад будет в 2011.
