OCTOBER 22. The first view on the water surface of the wreck Russian submarine Kursk connected by strands with the Giant -4 barge above it in the PD-50 Roslyakovo dock.. Most of 26 strands used for lifting the Kursk submarine from the Barents Sea bottom have already been disconnected from the submarine's hull . After disconnecting all the strands the dock will go down and the Giant -4 barge will float out. (Photo ITAR-TASS/Semyon Maisterman).
