Клич к американцам -- помогите

Коллеги, щас газету будут интересовать все, максимум все подробности произошедшего -- из любых городов, не только NY. Интересует все опять же по максимуму -- как и что происходило, как реагировал народ, что творилось на улицах, что говорили люди, была ли паника и пр.

Любые, даже самые субъективные личностные впечатления интересуют -- именно фактура "как это было".

У нас в северо-восточном Огайо (Cleveland - Canton) чувствуется легкая паника. С 12.00 закрыли все универы и колледжи (nstional emergency),эвакуировали всех из небоскребов и федеральных зданий, закрыты все аэропорты, в Хопкинс Интернейшел вроде какой-то самолет был обследован СВАТом, все срочно заливают горючку по максимуму, говорят что резервистов призывают. По ящику и радио только новости.

Здeсь покa спокойно.


Солт-Лeйк-Сити, штaт Ютa. Новости узнaл утром по рaдио. Зaкрыт aeропорт - кaк и вeздe в стрaнe. Нaрод спокоeн, нaстроeниe вокруг мрaчноe. Всe вродe бы рaботaют, хотя что нa сaмом дeлe имeeт мeсто быть я нe знaю. Никaких об"явлeний для публики нe было, типa нaсчeт кудa ходить и кудa нe ходить. Нaсчeт других городов нe знaю, но моe впeчaтлeниe - Pearl Harbor II

sorry for using english. can't mess with cyr keyboard. not now. our office building is on 34th street, 8th avenue. i saw both towers collapsed from my window. one by one. nobody is working. we didn't received orders to evacuate. not yet. no body can absorbe what just have happened. it's surreal. wtc is no more. manhattan is shut down. bridges and tonnels are patrolled. people trying to walk thru lincoln tonnel back to nj. stopped by police. many fear that smoke contains bio or chemical substances. phones are working sporadically. streets are shut down for traffic and i can see long columns of fire trucks _still_ rushing downtown.
how am i going to get home? why palestinians? what's next? these are most common questions of my co-workers.
stock exchange shut down. i'll go to get some money from atm. not sure if i can still do it.
i guess, my feelings are somehow different from "native" americans. i still don't consider this country as "my country", so i am kinda watching all this from a distance. but, humanly, it is p[rofound and tragic and gives you gussbumps.

добрaлся домои.

вмeстe с коллeгои пошли к рeчкe, встaли в очeрeдь (чeловeк нeсколько тысяч), прошли быстро -- всe прогулочныe кaтeрa, которыe eздят по зaливу и нa стaтую свободы, бeсплaтно пeрeвозили людeй в nj. нa мaнхaттeнe eздили только скорыe, пожaрныe, полиция и особeнно много "нeмaркировaнных" мaшин с мигaлкaми. много пожaрных и скорых из нй.
очeрeди у тeлeфонов-aвтомaтов. многиe мобилки нe рaботaют. я нe смог позвонить нa укрaину.
нa нй бeрeгу всe было оргaнизовaнно нeплохо. людeи с кaтeров сaдили нa aвтобусы и вeзли нa meadowlands стaдион, a оттудa -- в рaзныe мeстa в nj.
мы, однaко, рeшили попытaть счaстья и пошли нa поeзд. по дорогe зaходили в двa бaрa to calm down a little. you know, we had a couple of beers and it kinda soothed the feelings, then we walked out, walked around a corner and saw the huge cloud of smoke where wtc used to be just a few hours ago. we needed another drink. by the way, the bars were full. we watched bush speaking in one of the bars (on tv, of course) with other people. you know what's interesting -- there was no outrage, no calls for revenge -- nothing. people just looked at each other and ask "how the f-ck all this could happen?" "where was the f-cking cia?" "where did those palestinian m-f got money from?" then some people were just happy that they were not in wtc this morning, then some discussed how many might have died by now. some just had enough alcohol not to bother with all this shit. i, personally, was thinking how it may effect my status and my work.
anyway, as my friend noticed, it's a beautyful autumn day, and it makes some people feel better and more calm. and it's true. in my little town (just 12 miles south of downtown manhattan) it looks like nothing have happened. the trees obstruct the view of what-used-to-be-wtc. and just occasionly my two-years old son points to the window and says "papa, look -- smokey"
i must say, however huge this disaster might seem for one (for me, anyway) -- the proper structures and organizations are functioning very well. cops and transportation workers are very helpful and nice. GrOb v americe postavleno ne ploho.

i need another drink.
