На заднем плане на обеих фото - HMS Duncan

Вообще-то, уважаемый Sergey Zlenko, это самое фото "Гидры" помещено на заставке раздела 1-го тома Конвея по английским "капитал-шипам". Дата там обозначена "1877-1878".

А где это - Вы можете определить по "биографии" сего "Дункана":
"The third HMS DUNCAN was a steam screw line-of-battle ship, built at Portsmouth Dockyard and launched in December 1859. She was one of the last of the wooden three-deckers, the culmination of two hundred years of warship design, a line rendered obsolete by the introduction of the ironclad. This DUNCAN measured 252' overall, displaced 5720 tons and carried a crew of 930 men. Originally rated as a First Rate 101 gun ship she carried thirty six 8" guns on her gun deck, thirty six 32pdrs on her middle deck and twenty eight 32pdrs, plus a 64 pdr carronade on the upper deck; she was reclassified as a Second Rate and her armament reduced to 81 guns in 1863. Her engines developed 800 nominal horsepower and she reached over 13 knots on steaming trials in August 1860.
She first commissioned in January 1864 for service as flagship of the North America and West Indies Squadron. She returned home from this, her one active commission, in mid-1867, to become Coastguard ship at Leith until February 1870, when she was taken to Sheerness to be laid up. She recommissioned as flagship at Sheerness in April 1873, and apart from one voyage to the West Indies ferrying replacement seamen for the West Indies and North America squadron in October-December that year, HMS DUNCAN remained in a static role in the Medway for the rest of her naval career. In September 1879 she became a Receiving Ship (floating naval barracks), while continuing to wear the flag of the Commander-in-Chief, Sheerness, until she finally paid off in March 1889. In 1890 she was renamed HMS PEMBROKE and moved upriver to become Flagship of the Admiral Superintendent at Chatham, and in August 1891 she commissioned as the general depot there. In September she was again renamed, as HMS
TENEDOS II, for duty as a Training Establishment. She was sold for breaking in October 1910."
