13 и 14 ИЮНЯ 1942 года - США находилась в состоянии войны с Германией.
"Жемчужная лагуна"=Перл-Харбор - был ДО этого - 7 декабря 1941 года.
И со знанием языка у вас что-то - saboteurs в данном случае - диверсанты, высадившиеся, кстати, с немецкой подводной лодки.
Хотя с немецкими агентами, давно пустившими корни в Штатах, тоже не церемонились. Как и с гражданами, имевшими близких родственников японского происхождения.
Краткое содержание - 8 нацистских диверсантов, высадившихся 13 и 14.06.1942 с подводной лодки на территории США, приговорены 08.08.42 - шестеро - к казни на электрическом стуле, один - к пожизненной каторге, один - к 30 годам каторги. Материалы дела засекречены до конца войны.
