A surface-launched AMRAAM, a state of the art air defense system effective against low to medium altitude air threats, is on display in front of the New York Stock Exchange, Monday, July 8, 2002, in New York. The radar-controlled missile system is a joint product of Raytheon and Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace of Norway. The weapons shown here are dummies, but loaded versions can travel up to 10 miles.
