Ясно, что базы данных СИПРИ могут быть неполны и содержать ошибки, но тенденцию они ИМХО отражают. Поток импортного оружия в Ирак и Иран был несопоставим как количественно, так и качественно. Плюс Ирак в ходе войны активно строил свой ВПК и добился определенных успехов. Разница в количестве и качестве танков, артиллерии и авиации была такова, что позиционный характер войны и ее сведение вничью могут быть объяснены только большими проблемами в военном искусстве, организации, подготовке и боевом духе иракской армии.
