А в чем интерес, если не секрет ?
Вот, возьмите кусочек из Шарпа, честно говоря, лень переводить, если с Инглишом проблема, то переведу.

The Arkhangelsk District was ordered to start forming the new division in early December
with troops from the Arkhangelsk, Vologodsk, and Kirov oblasts and the Komi ASSR, all in
the far north of the Soviet Union. The unit was formed under an unknown 400-series number.
Although the commander was assigned on 27 December, the division did not actually receive
the designation "28th Rifle" until 12 March 1942, and it left for the front less than a
month later on 9 April. On 24 April the 28th Rifle was assigned to the 3rd Shock Army in
the Kalinin Front, and it remained in that Front and army until October 1943. On 6 October
1943 the 28th was one of the assault divisions in the 3rd Shock Army attack towards Nevel.
At 1050 hrs the division attacked with the 88th and 144th Rifle Regiments. Each regiment
hit one battalion of the 2nd Luftwaffe Field Division, and broke right through the German
position in an hour. By 12 noon that day the army mobile group was racing through the gap
for Nevel, which fell on the same day. On the following day the 28th was awarded the
honorific title "Nevelskikh" for this feat. By the end of the month the 3rd Shock Army and
the 28th were moved to the 2nd Baltic Front, and in January 1944 the division became part
of the 100th Rifle Corps in the lOth Guards Army in that front. The 28th Division remained
in the 100th Rifle Corps for the rest of the war. From February to June 1944 it was in the
22nd Army in the 2nd Baltic Front, then in the 4th Shock and 3rd Shock Armies in that front
until October. On 25 July 1944, after the first month of the summer offensive operations,
the 28th Rifle Division was already down to just 3820 officers and men in the entire
division, but that did not stop the division from winning the Order of the Red Banner on 9
August. From October 1944 until the end of the war it was in the 22nd Army, first in the
2nd Baltic Front and then in the Kurland Group on the Baltic coast. In the last weeks of
the war the 22nd Army went into the STAVKA reserves, and the 28th Rifle Division ended the war in the reserves.
