Egyptian and US tank storm onto the shores of the northern coast of Egypt during an amphibious landing 23 October 2001, as a part of "Operation Bright Star" the world's largest military wargames. Around 65,000 troops, including 40,000 Egyptians, at least 18,000 US servicemen and hundreds of Jordanian and Kuwaiti soldiers are taking part in Bright Star which began on October 8 and will last until November 1. The exchange took place October 12, 2001 during a joint force training exercise at Range 1 of the small arms range outside Mubarak Military Complex during Bright Star. The CLU is a sophisticated sighting system used to launch 127-mm missiles from the shoulder mounted Javelin.
