Background on the Russian 100-RU Veder
Background on the Russian 100-RU Veder (NATO codename: SS-N-16A ‘Stallion’) that apparently exploded aboard the Russian Oscar II class nuclear submarine Kursk in the Barents Sea:
The long-range Veder missile, deployed on several submarine classes, appears to have entered service in 1978 and is designed to target both submarines and surface ships. The system consists of a missile launched from the torpedo tubes, a computer and an associated sonar system. No photographs of the missile have been published but it is believed to have a long, slim cylinder with small, retractable fins and a booster rocket at the end.
The weapon is loaded into a 65cm torpedo tube and once discharged, travels horizontally until it has cleared the submarine, when the rocket motor ignites to take it to the surface. It clears the surface and flies through the air to the target area where the payload is ejected. The Veder’s payload is a Type 45 or E45-75A lightweight torpedo with both active and passive sonar sensors and a 90-100kg high explosive warhead. When this leaves the booster, a parachute is deployed to reduce speed and to allow the weapon to enter the water at the appropriate angle. It is then automatically activated and begins carrying out a search and track pattern.
Each submarine is believed to carry up to four Veder systems and between 400-600 have been produced for the Russian Navy. The system can also carry a nuclear warhead, in which case it would be designated the RU-100 Vodopod (NATO codename: SS-N-16B).

Их кажется спроектировали в КБ "Новатор", судя по кадрам ТВ, у них имеются решетчатые рули управления как у РВВ-АЕ.
А кто может дополнить, что либо про эту систему?
