Ok, lets begin. I must respectfully disagree with you, Nikanor. The matter of the fact is - I CAN find BS in the American publications. Unfortunately, my "ability' to do so is basically limited by 2 particular areas:
1) My field of science. Trust me - I have been finding TONS of the high grade bullshit in the "newspaper-type" publications on molecular biology and medical research. If you insist, I'll provide you some examples. As I do not keep files on such BS, it is gonna take me some time to collect few examples (I'm not a politician, and I do spend most of my time doing research, not searching internet). As you seems to be a picky type (young?), I feel I'll need to do it for you. :-)))
2) Nice BS in some political and international topics. Unfortunately, only in a few cases I had a good proof that I'm being BS'ed my the American mass media. However, if you insist, I'll dig out examples for you as well. The latest BS was on CNN just 2 days ago. There was some 2-min report about something in Russia, and there were some additional written info that appeared on the icon in the left side of the screen (you know their new design that started on August 6). Well, numbers of the Russian arms sales for the last year were definitely wrong: instead of approx. 4 billions (something like 3.8, as I saw in the different sources), there was a funny 2.8 billions there. I reiterate: I SPECIFICALLY saw a YEAR that they put in a smaller font on the screen (I first thought that they put some old info there). But it was not all of it. The next piece of info on that icon was about ecomomic growth. It was shown as MINUS 5% for the year 2000 (I specifically checked year). Please, tell someone around here that Russian economic growth was -5% in 2000, and see what people will answer...
I understand that this "freshest" example might be not "a 100% proof", but I'll definitely find some for you that simply cannot be argued against inany possible way.
I hope it is enough for now. I'll provide you some additional info, as promised.
Sincerely,
Sergey M., Ph.D.
