Hello Dima,
You have a very interesting web site.
Are any of your friends experts in Russian artillery?
I am writing an article on the weapons used by China in the 1930s. The Soviet Union provided a lot of artillery (1,317 pieces by 1940) but I have been unable to determine how many each type.
I have the French and Swedish deliveries, and pretty good information on the German deliveries, but only general numbers for the USSR deliveries.
I have tried all the standard books, including A.B. Shirokorad's Encyclopedia and back issues of military history journal (VIZh) but with no luck.
Do you know anyone who might have this information or be able to get it?

PS: I go to the US National Archives 3 or 4 times per year, so if you know someone who can use the Russian archives and would
like some information from the US archives, such as photos or documents, let me know.
