Re: пайка в частях вермахта

Выцепил из форума FELDGRAU

In the records I find different types of Verpflegung that
were issued to the German soldiers.

- gekьrtzte Portion
- Sonderverpflegung
- Panzer-Sonderverpflegung
- eiserne Portion
- volle Portion

gekьrzte Portion - reduced ration
Sonderverpflegung - special rations
Panzer-Sonderverpflegung - Special rations for tank crews (literal translation)
Eiserne Portion - Emergency rations
Volle Portion - full rations
Tagessatz - daily ration quantity
The daily rate, what means "voller Satz" or "Tagesverpflegung", included:
A) cold food:
- 750 gram bread (rye bread)
- 45 gram butter, margarine or other fat
- 120 gram sausage or preserved fish or cheese
- 200 gram marmalade or artificial honey
- 7 cigarettes or 2 cigars or some chocolate or other sweets
b) warm food, prepared in field kitchen:
- 750 gram potatoes or vegetables or noodles/pasta
- 120 gram meat (pork, beef)
- 45 gram fat for cooking
- 15 gram ingredients (salt, spices)
- 8 - 10 gram coffee or tea or coffee-substitutes
The "Eiserne Portion" included:
- 500 gram preserved bread (rusk, zwieback)
- 200 gram preserved meat in a tin
It was forbidden, to consume the "Eiserne Portion" without an order, but this conception
was non realistic. "Sonderverpflegung" was a special kind of higher quality food for
some groups of the army (tank, aircraft or submarine crews and so on).
For example, the "Sonderverpflegung" consists of,
- biscuits, cookies
- more and better chocolate (Scho-ka-kola, a bitter-sweet chocolate in a round tin,
enriched with some caffeine)
- fruit drops
- fruits
- tins with preserved meat or preserved sausages
