My knowledge about the Lebanese army is very minimal, however, there is an Israel 6 day war saying that goes like this: "To syria, we shall send the air force, to Jordan, we shall send the paratroopers, to Egypt, we shall send the armed forces and to Lebanon, we shall send the boyscouts". I'm not sure if this statement is true anymore, and still, I have a gut feeling that most of you agree with it
