Она на вооружении армии США не состоит

Эта самая сделанная на базе М992 машина управления FDCV/CPV (Fire Direction Centre Vehicle/Command Post Vehicle) на вооружение армии США принята не была и производилась только на экспорт в 1990-е гг - в Египет (72), Грецию (41) и на Тайвань (6).
Кроме того, в конце 1990-х гг три М992 были переоборудованы в машины управления Field Artillery Operation Centre Vehicle (FAOCV) для National Training Centre (NTC).

Fire Direction Centre Vehicle/Command Post Vehicle (FDCV/CPV)
BMY (now part of United Defense) delivered a Fire Direction Centre Vehicle/Command Post Vehicle (FDCV/CPV) based on the chassis of the FAASV to the US Army for trials. This model was fitted with the following equipment: complete hybrid NBC protection system, APU, Magnavox graphic display, Litton TACFIRE digital display terminal, PDP computer, Battery Computer System printer, power distribution system, pocket radio and a PRC-68 radio.
There are no plans for this to enter production. The US Army has carried out extensive tests of this vehicle but there are no plans for it to enter production or service with the US Army.
The FDCV, based on the chassis and hull of the M992 FAASV, has been tested at the US Army School of Artillery at Fort Sill to prove the feasibility and function of the concept under field and NBC conditions. The equipment used in the FDCV is a mix of 'off-the-shelf' or prototype products assembled for the concept, for which the internal headroom and armour of the M992 hull is eminently suitable. If required, bolt-on armour can be added to protect the specialist personnel and equipment carried.
