а. Marine-Regiment von Berger
Formed 4.18.40 in Narvik from crews of some of the sunken destroyers. Its job was to protect the railway to Narvik (mainly used for iron ore from Sweden). Consisted of:
Bataillon Holtorf (3 companies)
Bataillon Thiele (3 companies)
Bataillon Zenker (2 companies)
Bataillon Arnim (2 companies)
Disbanded 7.40
б. Marine-Infanterie-Bataillon Klüver
Existed 11.43 to 2.44 in South Russia. Formed from Flak-Kompanie Schwarzes Meer. Served on Crimea?
в. Marine-Bataillon Erdmenger
Formed 18.4.40 in Narvik with 2 companies, from personnel of the sunken destroyers. Saw action defending Narvik. Disbanded 7.40.
Marine-Bataillon von Freytag
Formed 18.4.40 in Narvik with 2 companies, from personnel of the sunken destroyers. Saw action defending Narvik. Disbanded 7.40.
Marine-Bataillon Kothe
Formed 18.4.40 in Narvik with 300 men, from personnel of the sunken destroyers. Saw action defending Narvik under Gebirgs-Jäger-Regiment 139. Disbanded 7.40.
2. Постоянные формирования.
Marine-Landesschützen-Bataillon Wilhelmshaven
Formed 26.8.39 in Wilhelmshaven and remained there until the end of the war. (Guard duties). Subordinated to Marine-Station der Nordsee, later Marineoberkommando Nord.
