Greece buys 60 Eurofighter planes

BERLIN, Feb 23 (AFP) - 02:36 GMT - Greece has signed the contracts on an
order for 60 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, the co-presidents of the European
Aeronautics Space and Defence Co. (EADS) announced in an interview published
here Friday.
The Typhoon is a twin-jet two-seater built by the Eurofighter consortium,
which involves Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Athens announced it intended to order an undisclosed number of Eurofighters
last March.
The sale price is around five billion euros (4.5 billion dollars), according
to the German daily Handelsblatt which ran the interview with EADS
co-presidents Rainer Hertrich and Philippe Camus.
The EADS bosses added that Greece had also taken an option on a further 30
Eurofighters.
"This order is particularly significant for us because it is the first real
success in exporting the Eurofighter", Camus said.
Britain has spent nearly 16 billion pounds (23 billion dollars, 25.5 billion
euros) on the project and has ordered 232 aircraft.

Так это плод коллективной разработки. Мотало мыслю туда-сюда с соответсвующим результатом.
Кстата, Миражи и Рафали тоже до жути дорогие. Их только японцы могут переплюнуть.

Дело, собственно, не в дороговизне как таковой, а в том, что за эти деньги предлагается морально устаревшая машина... Тот же "Рафаль" выглядит интереснее, как миниум.

Как оружие "Рафаль" совершенней "Тайфуна" (по крайней мере, теоретически). Ну а то, что самолет красивый - лишний плюс ;))

China To Acquire Anti-Ship Missiles

China's People's Liberation Army/Navy (PLAN) is preparing to sign a contract
covering the procurement of Kh-35 (AS-20
'Kayak') long-range anti-ship missiles, Russian defence industry sources
have told Jane's Defence Weekly.

Manufactured by the Zvezda-Strela company, the weapons are expected to be
integrated with Sukhoi Su-30MKK fighters,
indicating that the latest batch of these aircraft could be deployed by
China's naval aviation force.

The introduction into service of the Kh-35, which is reported to have a
maximum range of 130-140km, would serve to
greatly improve the PLAN's anti-ship capabilities. The weapon deploys a
145kg high-explosive warhead at speeds of up to
300m/s.

In a further development, a model of China's Xian Aircraft Company's JH-7
fighter has also been exhibited armed with the
Zvezda-Strela Kh-31 (AS-17 'Krypton') medium-range anti-ship missile. This
modification is also expected to enable the
JH-7 to deploy the Kh-31P anti-radiation missile, a Chinese version of which
(the KR-1) is already in existence.

A model of the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation J-8D interceptor has also been
exhibited equipped with Russian Vympel
R-27 (AA-10 'Alamo') air-to-air missiles. The R27 on J8D is a radar guidance
missile, and China has so far imported three
versions of the radar-guided missile from Ukraine's ARTEM Missile Factory,
including the R-27ER, R-27R and the R-27P,
which is believed to feature a passive radar seeker.

China could also have imported from Russia or Ukraine the software needed to
launch the R-27 range of missiles, enabling
it to further upgrade the J-8D's fire-control system.

Спасибо, Марат!

Вообще, китайцев можно вооружать только при условии того, что наша авиация будет переоснащена новыми типами. А так хрень получается, отдаем то, чего у самих нету. Пускаем во все места, и в ЦАГИ и в Жуковку. Передаем передовой опыт, так сказать. Кто нибудь, интересно, думает чем все это закончится?

А Ту-22М3 в Китае не было. Пока.
