The Turkey Shoot exercise included multiple strike intervals to recognize the fleet’s record destroying 1,000 enemy planes in WWII.
Wired reported the exercise also marks a significant shift from low-intensity wars to future campaigns that would require massive and smart aerial munition campaigns similar to the Turkey Shoot.
