Good news for all interested in Hawker Hurricane History
There is in edition process a new book
Hurricanes in Foreign Services (Belgium Finnish German Italy Rumanian Soviet Union Yugoslavia - VVKJ and NOVJ) during WW II
it will be realised in March 2001
Size A-4 72 pages with long English insert (6 full A-4 pages) 11 full pages of colour drawings containing 37 colour drawings ~ 120 B&W photos: Belgian - 15 Finnish - 15 Yugoslavian - 15 Rumanian - 13 German - 8 Italian-8 Soviet - 45). All photos with English captions. Many of them are the thirst time published and are very good reproduced.:
Photos
Belgian Hurricanes in services 1939/1940 (big size of reproduced photos) with two photos of ex-RAF Hurricanes interned in Belgium (H-35 and H-39) of 2./I/2 Escadrilla
Finnish Hurricanes form period 1940 till 1944. Some of them in the big size. There will be also photos of 3 captured by Finns Soviet Hurricanes (Z2585 BM959 Z3577) plus Finnish Hurricane Hybrid HC-465 (was mounted from three others captured ).
Yugoslavia. Two photos of Yugoslavian Hurricanes Zmaj captured by German on Zemen airfield 1941 (one full side of Br2347) also Photos from 1940 with two -blade propeller. There are aslo chapter of 351. Squadron RAF (Hurricanes IV) with five photos from 1944 till 1945.
Italy. Photos of four captured by Italians Hurricanes form: 73. Squadron RAF in North Africa from East Africa March 1941 third captured in April 1941 in Yugoslavia (BR2337) and 3 photos of force landed on Comiso airfield Hurricane IIB Z2491 (HA-D) of 126. Squadron RAF.
German. Photos of destroyed Hurricanes during Battle of France 1940 photos of captured one intact Hurricane I during the Battle of Britain used by II/JG51 in August 1940 also photo of V7670 from in North Africa.
Rumania. Photos from Barbarossa campaign Escadrilla 53.
Soviet photos are ~ 45 b&w some of them coming form North Russia (Murmansk 1941/1942) also from 151. Wing RAF next photos are from 78. IAP 2. GIAP interesting photo of captured by Hungarian abandoned by Soviet in July 1942 interesting photos of two-seaters: one as a artillery spotter!!! second with radar installation in the wings!!!.
